The Banker is the third book in the Modern Love series. While it can be read as a stand alone, to get the most enjoyment of the character relationships, it would be my recommendation to read the other two books first.We met Lennon in the first book, The Bartender, and this is her story. Trying to get funding for her sex toys business that she creates, with no help from her twin brother, she stalks her brother’s mentor that invests in businesses. When she meets the investor, Jasper, things do not go as she planned. Will she get the funding she needs for her business?Just like the other books in the series, this is a fun romantic comedy. There were several surprises that I didn’t see coming which was great. Unfortunately; as much as I loved this story, I’m not able to give it the five star rating, because there were some editing issues, as well as several predictable events. I still am looking forward to reading more from these two authors because just like the other books these two authors write so well together you don’t know that two authors are writing this book and the story will keep you captivated wanting to know what is going to happen next.
